Visual Journey from Quarry to Betka

There’s something quietly epic about walking the coast from Quarry Beach, past Mummy Rock, along the curve of Betka Beach, and down to the river mouth—especially after rain.

This new original song and video, “Where the River Meets the Sand,” was written and filmed during a cool, calm spell after the storm. The Betka River, once blocked by shifting surf, had just broken through again—flowing slow, dark with tannin, and glinting under clear skies. We followed it... and this is what came from that.

🎵 The Song
“Where the River Meets the Sand” is a mellow folk-blues duet, blending acoustic guitar, fiddle, sax, double bass, and coastal soul. Sung by two voices—male and female—it’s a love song not just between people, but between water and land, hush and movement, memory and release.

🖼 Visuals Along the Way
To bring the journey fully to life, we captured the path in a mix of sweeping 180° panoramas and stills:

  • Looking north from Betka toward the rising sun – where golden light caught mist on the ocean

  • South past Mummy Rock to Quarry – where the red stone glowed in silence

  • The Betka River Mouth reopening – gentle, graceful, telling its story with each trickle

And for those who want to soar, we’ve included a 360° VR sky tour, placing you above the entire sweep. Glide where the sea eagle sees.

🌊 A Moment Caught in Flow
This project isn’t just about a song—it’s about stopping for long enough to witness a moment of change that doesn’t shout, doesn’t hurry, doesn’t ask anything. The tide will always turn. The river will always find its way. And sometimes, all you need to do is walk slowly enough to notice.

Thanks for walking with us.
